Ninth of December, Two Thousand and Ten ~ a day to remember, a day when the ConDem government stole the future from children in England, lets not pretend that it was ever so good. The government consists of millionaires educated themselves at Oxford or Cambridge, finding their chums on the playing fields of Eton. A shameful day, 28 liberal democrat hypocrites broke their election promises and voted for university fees to treble overnight.
There clearly is no democracy in this country, no choice between any political party and the wishes of the people do not count with greedy, lying politicians and their millionaire, or is it billionaire banker friends, these bankers and other millionaires in this country do not even pay their taxes, have profited from insider dealing, profiteering, as bank overdraft fees soar to 19% and are tainted by their love of money, which they have foolishly mistaken for power.
The poor must pay for the rich man’s vampiric greed, for the inadequate man’s futile attempt to feel better about his own inadequacies. Oh yes the poor must pay. The poor who will keep breeding! That’s how they speak of us, they make sure our wages are kept low, that jobs are hard to come by and then they steal from us through taxation to feed their parasitical and useless government machine. Oh lets not forget they indulge in illegal and immoral wars to murder our children and the people of other countries, making sure to contaminate with depleted uranium to prolong the torture and death,
Children, young men and women protested outside parliament, the only way they could make their voices heard, literally through the walls, they called all day, in the cold, in the dark, they were heard in the chambers of the hypocrites, no doubt as they chanted, youthful voices, wanting a future. Did the politicians listen as they indulged in strange handshakes, called in favours from the days when they were children themselves? Did the so-called elected people turn an ear to the calls from outside? No they thought of their own pockets, their own comfortable lives and condemned a generation to less.
Never tell me we live in a democracy, never tell me we have a voice, never tell me that politics don’t affect you, and never, never believe another lie…………………

I am against students paying more even if all things do have a cost. Their eductation benefits society after all where would we lucky Brits be without Doctors, Barristers, Scientists, Dentists etc?
It was a shameful day for as much as I am on the students side when they protest peacefully I can only condemn those thugs who broke windows and attacked Charles and Camillia's car.
Gandhi did it best and won the day without violence. There can never be any other way apart from peaceful protest for if our fragil democracy is broken that will allow in the extreme right wing and they shoot first and ask questions later.
Against extra tuition fees.
Against violent thugs in my capital.
Not sure what you mean about the poor? Yes, there are still to our shame poor people in Britain but the facts remain that the 'middle class' (whatever that means) has grown and grown in recent years and bloody good job too. The more middle class there are (not the pretentious twats with daft pretensions) the better as this means the old 'working class' can acheive things. Both sets of my grandparents (Eastenders) worked bloody hard so that their children had it better than them. My parents continued that working class ethos. You work hard and stay ambitious and you acheive.
I want to see even more young people attend university, more acheivers. I want to see more average and less poor and less rich. I want to see more attend Cambridge and Oxford.
Sadly it is not only the poor who pay but the middle class as they are rapidly growing with more of them in Britain than the old style working class and it they who are being squeezed.
Broken windows and a paint spattered car are not violence compared to the extra ordinary violence perpetrated by the government towards the future of the whole country, and indeed the innocent people of other countries as they continue to use depleted uranium in illegal and immoral wars.
Or indeed compared to the the violence used by the "Royal" family when they stole land, money and indeed, the violence that was used towards Diana, Charles is an immoral adulterer and Camilla is no better.
As I said on my post there is NO DEMOCRACY and to believe so is to believe a lie, the extremists are already running the planet, wake up!
The Capital, and the streets of the capital belong to the students too, their streets, their future.
I do not subscribe to a top down, imposed "class system", we are all peasants to these shameful hypocrites, to think otherwise is only to fool yourself.
As can clearly be seem from the Magna Carta the same people who owned two thirds of all the property in this country still own it! So much for your assertions that if you work hard you can achieve.
I don't understand why you would feel it so sad that the "middle class" are being squeezed, it is a shame for everybody in this country, everybody that children are being made to pay for the greed of the bankers and their friends in government.
Please stop spouting clap trap to me!
43 students were hurt by police yesterday, call them names all you want but they are people whose future has been stolen, not mindless thugs, hurt, unhappy people !
There are not two forms of violence. There is but one. There are people who cream their undies at the first sign of causing trouble.
We do not want them here.
I am not middle class. I am not working class. I am outside your window looking in and all I see are primates playing games with each other. And who isn't 'working' for a living? The so called middle class have to work. They make more money? Good luck to them.
Of course there is no democracy. Never has been. Never will be anarchy either for if there was there would be more scenes of primates throwing bricks.
The violence used by the Royal family was centuries ago. Get real.
My children are students who may or may not support their fellows. They would not support those who attack others.
There is one way only. The way of peaceful demonstration. If the thugs hadn't turned up people like me would have been more likely to have added more support but seeing two old farts in a roller being abused is not what the protests are all about.
You need to focus your argument against those that can make the change. Charles cannot but then again maybe he along with his old Dad are too busy running the illuminatti. If they are they are doing something wrong as their extended hold on this land is fading.
The capital is my City. They are my streets. We do not want violence there. And that goes for the over reaction of the police who should know better. Violence of any sort is wrong.
There are those who like to believe they are involved in some form of revolution, some sort of insurrection. They need to wake up and taste the coffee. The enemy of the people is complacency. This storm in a tea cup will pass and that is precisely what the coalition government want. They know that as do virtually everyone else
You can work hard and achieve. Privilege is not only with the monarchy or the upper class. Alan Sugar is privileged. Paul McCartney is privileged. John Lydon is privileged. Football players are privilleged.
As for clap trap I am you inferior at that and therefore bend my head to you.
As for calling the students names...I haven't. I support the real students and their desire to get rid of the upgraded fee but then again I said that to begin with. I am against the fee upgrade. I am a free thinking individual with morals. Unlike you I am not captive to some working class myth. Unlike you I do not, will not support violence be it in Iraq or London. Both are wrong but you my dear old love are just plain rude especially when you suggest I speak clap trap.
The one thing my very working class forebears taught me was the value of kindness and good manners.
...there is one way only...the way of peaceful demonstration.
As can clearly be seen C.J. my post is directed against those who made the decision to increase the students tuition fees.
You are not outside any window, you are a member of society, there is no choice concerning that ! all you see are primates, except the "royal family" who are "only human"
Ha ha ! (you seem confused)
The Capital is my city and the city of the students you denigrate, no doubt they did not want to be beaten up by the police or charged by police horses, but in my city I would stand up for myself against violence and believe others should do the same.
I do not believe this is a storm in a tea cup or that it will pass, but time will tell. I agree complacency is a problem, as are judgemental, brainwashed sheeple.
I am not being rude in asking you not to speak clap trap to me, I simply do not want to get into another long winded, boring, dialogue with you where you are close minded and do not answer the points I make, just condemn "Violence" as if the kids yesterday invented it!
The violence the government and the "royal family" continually show is to be condemned, judge a few high spirited children as thugs all you want, but their behaviour is nothing when compared to the well thought out cruelty the state inflicts daily.
As I explained I do not buy into the class system therefore your jibe that I am "captive to some working class myth." does not make any sense to me at all, but simply proves your predilection for judging people and I can assure you that you are not my judge, or, thankfully the judge of the students yesterday.
The students were clearly goaded into action yesterday, so the propaganda machine could be fed and instead of looking at the lies and hypocrisies of the government we must turn our attention to the "violence" and blame the victims!
Well you, old love have clearly fallen for that machine ~ yet again!
I haven't denigrated the students. I support them. The genuine ones that is. My children are students.
I oppose all forms of violence unless it be self defense.
I have clearly stated here that I find the over reaction of the police to be equally as wrong.
Again, you miss the point.
The students (let's not patronise them was being kids) are not all of the same mind. There are many, just like me, who were appalled by the violence.
Being goaded, or rather resisting it, is what every human being needs to learn. The violent erruption is a part of the human condition. It is what human annimals do.
The tribal conflict between the fading class divide is a falsley constructed model promoted by both those that hanker to remain with the shrinking working class and those of the upper class who hanker for the old days. I refute any notions of classas they are false.
And let me repeat one final time as still this point is being missed: I am on the side of the genuine students but not the BNP thugs who turned up to agaitate the situation just as they did at Wapping in 86.
All along I have said this but you have chosen to ignore it. I am on the side of the genuine student.
I am flexible, liberal, tolerant. We have proof of that as I neither condemn my working class mate nor the middle class ones. As far as I am concerned they are both the same.
Primates like me. Working middle class just like you, just like me. But non judgemental just like me
You what?
"....but not the BNP thugs who turned up to agaitate the situation..."
there is NO proof of this! In fact many Anarchist groups did not attend yesterday simply because they did not want to give rise to these kind of lies and propaganda!
You are extremely judgemental and you are wrong!!
The above quote is a totally disgraceful thing to say, totally wrong, a lie! Shame on you for attempting to slur students who are demonstrating for their future and the futures of other children in that disgraceful manner shame on you!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKasRzCEAnU
The BNP comment was not about the students protest but about Wapping.
you are trying to pin me down as being either left or right and i am neither.
Student protest is good. if you need me there then I wll attend but not if it means egging Royal Cars or any car come to that nor destroying historical parts of my City. I am against the fee increase and have said so many times.
You are making this personal. debate is good as provides extra shades and colour.
You either support vilonce or you do not.
I am capable of defending myself and will willing do so if I have to but Ghandi proved you can make significant change with out resorting to violence. the students will continue to get the support of the majority of people but not the thug element. Those people care little for the rights and wrongs of the argument, they just like the violent aspect.
The police were equally as wrong as the thugs and the only ones to suffer will be the genuine students who deserve better than those wankers who only want to destroy, hurt and injur - bad policemen included.
PPS. The NF did turn up at Wapping. I know I was there. I too ran when the horsebacked police baton charged us. That was wrong just as breaking students heads today is wrong. Once violence begins it grows.
The BNP, the NF, the right, the left, anarchists, all fucking mad.
Same old propoganda you speak of and I don not buy any of it. We do not need left. We do not need right and we do not need violence.
You want me there and I will come. I will march side by side with you but in peacefull protest. We need to embrace a new form of politics for all other forms thus far have failed.
Gorillas in the nut house
Chimps are up the tree
Apes are in the parliament
Making monkeys of you and me
C.J. :>)
You are doing my nut in.....
Certainly your comment did read as if the BNP were agitating on Thursday, which they weren't. Other people do read this and I really don't feel I can allow misrepresentations like that to stand.
Did you watch the students kettling the police? It's fab and shows how the students kept their sense of humour throughout, which I am very proud of them for, as they are very young and this is their first time at demonstrating.
I am not trying to pin you down as anything, I haven't asked you any questions and am simply trying to keep this on track, I feel what is happening in the world, never mind just England is disgraceful and will support people who are trying to make a change.
"You either support vilonce or you do not..."
ha ha I might support vilonce, if I knew what it was! Only teasing :>)
I feel that non violent direct action is the way forward, having been trained in non violent direct action, however I am realistic enough to know that, as with the suffragettes in England there may be more ways than one. I don't particularly feel that Ghandi left such a great example, he was certainly not adverse to hitting small boys and India is a country where the poor are reduced to eating their own excrement to survive, perhaps not something I would wish to aspire to.
I do agree with John Lennon that it's best not to take the place apart and that we should all be coming from a place of love, and out actions should be directed accordingly.
I certainly don't think being violent or not is as black and white as that, there are all sorts of violence, different degrees and shades of violence, certainly any one person would never be able to come close to the even matching the violence that has been perpetrated on him by the system, from the day he is born.
I think it's a bit of a cop out to stand back and condemn all violence, we have a hell of a walk to freedom, and we may be required to fight and be violent, may be required to do all sorts. certainly the system will be hard to change, and the powers that be will not give up without a fight themselves (using the police and army as pawns)
If you take a step back and look at the struggles that have effected a change they were violent, the suffragette movement, the Poll tax riot certainly did make changes and neither was non violent.
That's all I am saying, I do think this whole subject should be debated, thought about, talked through, I don't think we can instantly condemn people for becoming heated when they are feeling passionate and I don't believe we even begin to know what is ahead of us, but I am not going to condemn the students because they are trying their best to be non violent, in difficult situations.
I have been active in many political situations, at Greenham we were non violent, but the agreement was that each of us would take our protest to our own personal limit, and we would be supported by all the other women.
(men were, as you know excluded from Greenham Common Peace Camp)
At the Poll tax riot, mayhem ensued, but many of us seasoned protesters were mainly involved in protecting the innocent from the police, and, as I said a change WAS effected.
In the first instance we DO need open minds, so these matters can be discussed, without condemnation or propaganda rearing their ugly heads, that is what will really begin to make a change, people making up their OWN minds and not repeating platitudes.
I don't believe there was a "thug element" at wok on Thursday and so we must disagree.
It is not yet time for the adults to begin our protest, the students are handling things very well and, as I said many old warhorses, like myself are staying away so as not to enable lies and propaganda.
Peaceful protest, we may not have that luxury, certainly it has been very rare at any of the actions I have been involved in, though the protesters may have been peaceful, the police are not known for peacefulness !
Let's watch and learn, for now, and when it is time for the grown ups I will let you know :>)
sheeple are people who allow themselves to be herded around and manipulated by the powers that be.....
