American Prayer-Dave Stewart

I hope this will not offend anyone, but you know... this is what many of us... who still have Hope... are feeling, today.

This is about rising back up from the ashes... because if we are lame and crippled, then we are of no use to anyone. Not to ourselves, or to the rest of the world.

I hope you can feel the spirit of this song.

Cool song,

Shimmerrings, I still have hope, still have a dream.

My dream may not include America policing, saving or leading the world but I have hope and faith in humanity and in Mother Earth.

America is such a new country and, in many ways has behaved like the schoolyard bully, perhaps there will be a maturing, a mellowing because of the troubles that have beset America in the past few years.

Perhaps not, as I said time will tell, there is certainly optimism in the US regarding Obama's election, I suppose not least because this time the proccess has appeared to be fair.

I am still not sure what changes poor Obama is supposed to be going to make and he has his work cut out for him certainly, if he is going to improve the lot of America's poor and huddled masses.

He does seem to have cheered America up, hopefully he will make the U.S. a fairer place to live, less racist and less war mongering, with a more informed, better educated populus.

That would be a start......
