is it because of all your history
days and all the love
that has fallen in
your forest
without you ever
taking an axe or a saw
in hand
the long harvest
walks in your land
with fire
and shrooms
in the roots
and moss
it sinks so deep
around your feet
with every step
and the smell is
so fresh
it defies
temperature.
