The stated goal of the United States Air Force
is to "control the high ground",
in other words, space.
Space is the ultimate high ground.
The U.S. Space Command Long Range Plan is committed to
"the control and exploitation of space".
The Air Force Space Command motto: "Master of Space".
If you have a good telescope you can see
what all your hard earned tax money is buying.
