This is Diego Garcia.

I spent a year of my life on "the rock"

as a meteorologist and upper air specialist.

On July 1,1974 we became Naval Weather Service

Environmental Detachment Diego Garcia.

Being an original member of the N.W.S.E.D.

I became a "plank owner", Diego Garcia.

I own a piece of this rock.

It was the best time of my life.
