Venus was the Roman goddess of love, or the equivalent to Aphrodite in Greek mythology. Its just a different name. Anyway, it is an interesting idea giving the conception to the moment where love was created and so much of humanity had that, and the gods had that sense of love installed within them. Or at least I think so.

yes, in Brasil, Candomblé, she is Yemanjá, rainha do mar / queen of the sea, two threads: one white, leading off through catholicism to mother Mary, Nossa Senhora; the other rich and black, Yoruba, among the Orishas she is close to two other great beauties, Oshun, goddess of rivers, and Iansã, of winds and change, ahhhhh
