One
Funny how the ancestors of immigrants can so easily forget their history and turn against the immigrant with bile and rancour as if they were to blame for all a nation's ills. As if all their true history can be consigned to some dim and dark cupboard where no one ever looks anymore. Where the truth can be shackled and hidden away the better to twist the myth. As if being a member of the human race is not enough you still have to join and subscribe to their tribe, their clan, their faith.
What ever happened to one god. One faith. One human race?

Star Trek World
I dream of a Star Trek world.
This think tank will focus on creative actions
designed to initiate a global paradigm shift
towards a world where racism, poverty and war
will be a thing of the past.

Vaishnav Jana to
Vaishnava (devotees of Lord Vishnu) people are those who,
Feel the pain of others,
Help those who are in misery,
But never let ego or conceit enter their mind.
Vaishnavas, respect the entire world,
Do not censure anyone,
Keep their words, actions and thoughts pure,
The mother of such a soul is blessed.
Vaishnavas see all equally, renounce greed and avarice,
Respect other woman as they respect their own mother,
Their tongue never utters false words,
Their hands would never touch the wealth of another.
Vaishnavas do not succumb to worldly attachments,
They are detached from worldly pleasures,
They are enticed by the name of God (Shri Ram),
All holy sites of pilgrimage are embodied within them.
Vaishnavas encompasses the absence of greed and deceit,
They have renounced all types of lust and anger,
The author of this poem would be grateful to meet such a soul,
Whose virtue liberates their entire lineage.

our common doom
“The best that we can do
is to be kindly and helpful
toward our friends and fellow passengers
who are clinging to the same speck of dirt
while we are drifting side by side
to our common doom”
