Manure
I raise my glass to the statesmen who grin,Then with neat footwork stately spinYet another web of steel and bile,The better to manipulate those without guileWho with trained minds and lame intellect,Spit out the peanuts for them to selectThe next government who then quickly learnTo ignore the electorate and democracy spurn,As in this life, one thing's for sure,The rich get the beef and the poor get manure.
